May 2020: T-Shirts, A New Face, and Covid-19

A NEW LINE OF PRODUCTS

I'm sure you've all seen by now, but we are still thrilled about the long-awaited release of our T-SHIRT line! Ok, ok, so it might not be long-awaited for you...but this has been months in the making for us. We knew that our customers wanted t-shirts, so we started exploring what that would look like for us last fall. First and foremost, we had to know that shelters also had a need for them. Turns out, they do! Thus began the development of our t-shirts. It's always a risk when we decide to come out with a new product, but we loved that t-shirts are something that can be worn all year round (as opposed to something more seasonal which are all the items that we sold prior to adding t-shirts to our collection.) The shirts were very well received, and we're excited for all of the different directions we can go with t-shirts in the future. Click here to shop them.

A NEW FULL TIME TEAM MEMBER

We're so excited to welcome Steve as a full time member of our sales team! He's not a new face around here - he's actually been helping us for years and has already done quite a bit of sales for us. Yes, the timing might seem a little crazy - but we knew without a shadow of a doubt that this was the right move for our company right now. In small business, your first few hires are crucial...and we knew that Steve was the perfect man for this job. Not only does he have the drive and commitment that it takes to be in a full time sales role, he also has something that we can't train someone to have: passion for people. We can't wait to see where having him in this full time role takes our company!

FAITH MISSION PARTNERSHIP

We were partnered with Faith Mission in Elkhart, Indiana this month and it was awesome getting to help be a change for another shelter in our own state. WSBT22 generously did an amazing feature on our story, check it out here!

CONTINUALLY PIVOTING

Considering the current circumstances, we are extremely pleased - and maybe even a little bit surprised - to see all we have been able to accomplish the last few months. We've had to pivot and find some different avenues to sustain us during this time. But when push comes to shove, you do what you have to do! That's the cool part about being human. We're really good at adapting to situations that we find ourselves in, even when we don't want to...and it's no different in business. We say it all the time, but thank you to our customers and everyone else who has continued to support us during this time. We most likely wouldn't still be here right now without you.
