We've been in the sock business for about 5 years now, and as time goes on, our relationships with our manufacturers continue to grow and strengthen. Trust that takes awhile to build is finally there, and we're to the point where we can start doing some cool and unique things with pretty low risk on our end.

That's why when a friend who owns a running store approached us about potentially getting running socks made for them, we knew that we could confidently bring it to our supplier and get it done. That was about about a year and a half ago. Since then, we have come out with our own line of running socks - which many of you may have seen. And this is the part where I'm going to tell you how I know that these running socks are GOOD. Like, really good.

A COOL NEW AVENUE OF GROWTH

We started talking with Palmetto Running Company a couple of months ago, and once they heard about our mission, they almost immediately started thinking up ways that we could team up with them to do a collaboration that their customers down in South Carolina would be interested in. They have two store locations, one in Bluffton and one in Hilton Head, and they've put a heavy emphasis on giving back since opening their doors. What started as a conversation about them potentially selling our socks in their store turned into an idea of teaming up to produce a specially branded sock that showed both Sky and Palmetto on the packaging, with every sock purchased being matched with a sock donated. As soon as we heard the idea of a collaboration, we immediately liked it and got to work on what this partnership would look like.

You can now find Sky Outfitters x Palmetto Running Co. socks in both of their locations. We can't wait to go down to visit and give them a look!

ABOUT PALMETTO RUNNING COMPANY

Palmetto Running Company was named on the list of Best Running Stores in America in 2020. They're a "specialty running and active lifestyle boutique. Locally owned and family operated since 2011". It's been such a great experience working with them on this project...we're planning on making a trip to visit them within the next few months and we can't wait! If anyone is ever in the area, make sure you check them out and tell them that Sky sent you. :)
